VT Robbed

OK, since you apparently feel strongly that VT should be in...tell me exactly how far you think they would have made it....then tell me what's the point of whether they made it or not. It's basically like whining cuz the Akron Zips aren't in the "Emerald Nuts who gives a crap motor city Bowl" or something...just a lil less relevant.

I guess it's just that the NCAA Tournament just won't be the same without that powerhouse team from VT...

They got robbed, has nothing to do with the NIT. They'll either make it to MSG or get put out tomorrow night. I think they probably would've won a game in the NCAA tournament. Of course you'll come back and say that it doesn't matter but the amount of revenue for the school, experience for the kids, and chance to possibly go farther has been taken away from them. In 1983 and 1985 you probably were saying the same thing about NC St and Villanova weren't you?

what???

i dont care about revenue....i dont care about their kids

nor to i care about things that happened 25 years ago when college basketball was a completely different animal than what it is today

the fact still remains that by them not beating a single top 50 team during the regular season........they cost themselves a bid......they didnt get robbed

Yet you fail to address that problems with the RPI, the fact that VT played UNC twice both in the state of North Carolina, and played Clemson only once in Clemson.

Exactly how many "chances to go farther" should a mediocre team in any sport get??...that's asinine. If a team can't seal the deal, there are no guarantees...and not many second chances. In B-ball the Conference Tournament is a second chance. How many football teams get second chances after a playoff loss......ZERO.

Miami had 2 more top 50 wins than VT and they get a 7 seed while VT doesn't get in? As mentioned earlier VT beat Miami by 14 points Friday, you guys really make a ton of sense. I'm saying VT should have been in the playoffs (NCAA Tournament) so they would've got their chance.
